Saint Nectarios of Aegina (Agios Nectarios) is one of the most revered saints of the Orthodox Church in modern times. As a metropolitan, theologian, poet, and wonderworker, he lived a life of deep humility and unwavering faith – despite slander, banishment, and poverty. He is particularly known as an advocate for the sick and as a miracle worker, whose intercession is still sought by believers from all over the world. The depiction shows him in episcopal vestments, holding the Book of Gospels, against a warm golden background – a saint whose goodness and holiness speak from every feature of his face.

The icon is crafted on dark wood and features a characteristic wavy edge as well as decorative brass nails at the corners.
